Oxford has been attracting students and tourists alike for centuries. Who has not heard of its high esteem? Oxford is highly recognized by everyone and its University is one of the best in the world. From the ancient University of Oxford to the rolling hills of the Cotswolds, there is so much rich history and culture for you to explore. Oxford is the perfect city for young people: fun, cosmopolitan, full of shops, markets, museums and beautiful parks. It has the oldest English-speaking university and one of the most prestigious in the world. London is only 90km away, while Windsor, Bath and Statford-upon-Avon are also very close.

There are many things to do in Oxford: visit the Ashmolean Museum which is the world's oldest public museum, Oxford University Museum of Natural History, The Faculty of Music and Bate Collection of Musical Instruments, Cowley Road is very popular among students. You can enjoy The Bear (opened in 1242), while in the city center there is a large selection of bars and clubs. Why not spend a day in the Cotswold Wildlife Park Nature Reserve with its large cats, rhinos and magnificent gardens, or enjoy Cutteslowe & Sunnymead Park, the largest one in the city.

THE SCHOOL

Our prestigious school in Oxford is located in the city center, close to the main shopping streets and tourist centers in the city. The building is large and quiet with a nice view of the most important monuments of the city. The school has a self-learning center where students can use a wide selection of materials to improve their English, a social area, cafeteria and classrooms, which are perfectly equipped with a wireless internet access.

In the summer, some classes take place in its high school, which is just 10 minutes walking distance away.

From the school, you can walk to the most important museums, art galleries, historical buildings, river, bars, clubs, pubs, shops and restaurants.

Our school is accredited by BRITISH COUNCIL and ENGLISH UK.

Every week and especially in the summer, the school organizes a varied program of cultural and entertainment activities. Almost every evening, at night and on the weekends, the school organizes excursions, visits, tours and various events. Participating in them is a perfect opportunity to explore the city and its surroundings and making new friends.
During the weekends, full day trips are organized.

This list is just an example:

• Going to a pub at night: This activity is one of the favorite of the students. On Thursdays we go to a pub in the city center, an ideal opportunity to make friends and practice English.
• Salsa dance classes: very amusing and taught by one of our teachers.
• Guitar Lessons: The school provides guitars, classes are affordable. A good way to spend free time.
• Routes in Oxford city tours are organized for new students to get familiar with its streets, history, main buildings and monuments.
• Going to an ice skating rink.
• Bowling days!
• The school also organizes barbecues during the summer.
• Football training: on weekends (with a qualified FA coach)
• Tours to museums and art galleries: there are four museums and two art galleries near the school, and regular visits are organized. The Ashmolean Museum is the oldest museum in the Western world and has one of the most exciting and extensive collections of artifacts in the UK; while the Museum of Natural History is a particularly beautiful building
• Shakespeare outdoors: every summer there are Shakespeare plays in a theater outdoors in the park. Despite the difficult language, these games are always very popular. There are special lessons for students who are interested in the meaning behind each play.
• Visiting schools and university buildings: usually we organize guided tours to faculties of the University of Oxford and visit important buildings, including the church of Christ College (where they filmed scenes from Harry Potter) and the Bodliean library.
• Every Saturday, full day trips are organized by a private coach. During your stay, you can visit: London, Brighton, Cambridge, Stonehenge, Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwick, Windsor, The Cotswolds.
• Isle of Wight
• During the summer, half-day excursions to Blenheim Palace, Las Rozas Village, The Factory BMW (Mini home) are organized as well.

You can also take a very affordable flight to Scotland or Ireland, and some capital cities in Europe such as Oslo, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, etc. Traveling with low cost airlines is very convenient and definitely cheap!

ACCOMMODATION

Host family

Host families are carefully selected. Living in a host family gives you the opportunity to continue practicing English at home, plus the experience of knowing the customs of British families. Some of our families are young, but we also have some retired people, all of them dedicated to making you feel as another member of their family.

Families offer breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and lunch during the weekends. The school is just a few minutes away by walk.

Summer Residence

This residence is just few minutes away from the school by bus. The deposit is 100 GBP.

The summer residence is very close to the campus of the University of Headington and beside to the Oxford Brooks University; it is very easy to go to the city center by public transport.

The residence is composed of apartments, shared among 6 people. All rooms are single. The kitchen, living room and two bathrooms are shared with other students.

There is a 24h security service, laundry and dryers. Students are responsible for cleaning their apartments.

Residence during the year

The residence is international and belongs to the Oxford University.

There is Internet connection throughout the building.

Some rooms have private bathrooms but an additional fee is required.
