THE SCHOOL

Our academic center in Edinburgh opened in 2010. Is a small warm school with a perfect location in the heart of the New Town of the city situated about 5 minutes walking from the main train station, 10 minutes from the bus station and just 2 minutes from “Royal Mile” in the old town. The treatments of students is friendly and welcoming. The school is in a third floor Victorian building with 6 equipped classrooms, computer room and WIFI conexion, common room, library, coffe machine, conversation club (one a week) etc.

All teachers are qualified and have many years of experience in teaching the English language, both in the UK and abroad.

The school is accredited by: BRITISH COUNCIL, EDUCATION SCOTLAND, ENGLISH UK and IALC.

The school organises regular social and cultural events that include travel, free attractions like the National Museum of Scotland visits Princess Street Gardens and the Scottish Parliament building. 

From October to May the school organises an event every week. During the summer months two weekly events are organised: some activities are included, in other cases there is a fee to participate. The price is approx £ 5-10. During weekends full day trips are organised around Edinburgh: the price is £ 20-25 approx.

ACCOMMODATION

Mc. Donald’s Residence

Our residence in Edinburgh is located in the Broughton area, in the heart of the city. 

The residence, recently renovated, is made up of shared apartments between 5 students. All rooms are fully equipped with a small private bathroom. The kitchen is shared with roommates. 

The residence also has a new modern student room with pool table, and is an ideal setting for relaxing and socializing. 

The residence has Internet conexion, private bathroom, laundry facilities, cleaning service, kitchen, kitchen utensils, security service. Bed-linen and towels are probided.

Check In: Sunday from 14:00 

Check Out: Saturday before 10:00 

Laundry: Yes (fee - £2.70 wash and £1.50 dry) 

Cleaning Service: No. Students are responsible for cleaning your apartments.

Host family

Host families are carefully selected. Living in a host family gives you the opportunity to continue practicing English at home , plus the experience to know the customs and culture of Scottish families. Some of Our families are young and we also have some retired people, all of them would try to make you feel as another member of the family.

Families offer breakfast and dinner from Monday to Friday and breakfast and lunch during the weekends. The school distance is pretty close to the houses.

Zigurrat Residence

Zigurrat Residence, finished in 2011 with 64 bedrooms, offers comfortable and modern accommodation in the heart of Edinburgh. The bedrooms are singles with a shower. Each apartment has 4 or 6 bedrooms with common areas like the kitchen, living room and bathroom.

Availability: From September to December  (excluding July and August)

Each student is responsible for cleaning their bedroom
